A pool that can accommodate swimming, jogging, yoga, swimming pool therapy and other activities, has become an increasingly popular feature of Canadian homes.
According to a survey by Toronto-based research firm Mercer, the number of American homes with swimming pools in Toronto increased from 3,921 in 2011 to 4,737 in 2016.
While many Americans have tried swimming pools before, this is the first time that Canadian homes have included a swimming hole in their homes.
In the U.S., pools are a popular hangout for families, but many Canadians prefer to stay indoors.
According a report from Mercer, Canada had the highest pool use rate among OECD countries in 2016, at 11.5 per cent.
Pool use was higher in the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland and Australia, the survey found.
Mercer found that more than 60 per cent of Canadians are comfortable with having their homes equipped with swimming holes, but only about 20 per cent are satisfied with the way their swimming pool is organized.
“There is a desire for greater ease and flexibility in design,” Mercer said in a statement.
“People are seeking to have a swimming area of their own where they can enjoy a relaxing, family-friendly environment without the stress and noise associated with traditional pool facilities.”
There are plenty of swimming pools to choose from in Canada, but Mercer recommends choosing a pool with a large pool and at least one large water feature, which can accommodate more than one person.
The most popular pool in the country is the 48-foot-long swimming pool at the American swimming pool in Toronto, which has been in use for at least seven years.
The pool is the largest in the city and has a capacity of over 1,000 people.
It is surrounded by a large walkway with a water feature that can hold about 800 people.
According the pool’s website, the pool is “a place to socialize, relax and play while enjoying the outdoors and a safe place to exercise and relax in.”
