Menards is a swimming pool chain that was acquired by the Indian conglomerate Pallet in 2008 for a reported $7.5 billion.
The move, which came in the wake of a $4 billion buyout by Japanese firm Softbank, saw the chain acquire two of the world’s biggest swimming pools and transform them into upscale, spa-like swimming areas with swimming pools with private pools.
The chain has over 150 facilities in India and plans to open over 300 more this year.
In addition to Menards, it owns the Menards Pool in New Delhi, and Menards Spa in Pune.
Pallet has also acquired the Menard Golf and Tennis Club in Mumbai, and the Menands Hotel and Spa in Bengaluru.
