Ryan Goslings, the Oscar-winning actor who played Kevin on “American Horror Story,” has spoken out about his struggles with OCD.
Goslings revealed that he struggles with the disorder in a new interview with MTV News, and said that his anxiety is part of why he has never made a big splash in Hollywood.
“It’s hard because I’m very introverted, I don’t really do any publicity,” he said.
“I’m like a lot of people who are very shy and I can’t really show it in public.
But, when I do, it’s kind of like a weird thing.
It’s hard to show it on film because it’s like, ‘Oh my God, what’s going on?
Where’s this coming from?’
But I think the anxiety is the same thing. “
The only thing that I’m really afraid of is being on stage and I’m going to be doing something terrible onstage.
I can go out and be happy.””
When you’re doing something in public, you don’t have to be scared of people staring at you, or being afraid of people not liking you or thinking bad things about you.
I can go out and be happy.”
Gosling’s interview with the outlet comes after the actor was spotted on set for a shoot with a group of young children.
The star, who has been nominated for multiple awards, also revealed in the MTV interview that he has a son, Noah, who is now two years old.GOSLINGS OWNED GIRLFRIEND’S GUIDE TO TRUTH: HOW HONESTLY CAN YOU HAVE A CHANCE OF NOT BEING IN CHARGE OF THE DISORDER?
“If I didn’t have a family, I’d have to have a crisis with OCD,” Gosling said.
“[It’s] a weird, scary thing that happens in the family when you have an autistic kid who’s a little obsessive, and then you have to take him and take care of him.”
